The cat, the mysterious creature - feeding habits

Cats are mysterious creatures. They sometimes exhibit strange behaviors and do things that, at best, make the attentive observer shake his head and, at worst, make him run away with his hand in front of his mouth and his cheeks chubby in a desperate attempt to get the last meal under control.

So there are two groups of cats in this household. First, there are Stitch, Louise and Kalle, all three of whom are gifted mouse hunters. Even Stitch, with his considerable body mass and his stolidity, regularly manages to finish off the small rodents and also to eat them, despite having very few remaining biting tools.

The other group is formed by Minnie, Daphne and Gizmo. These three don’t care about mice at all. Gizmo does occasionally bring a stray mouse inside the house, but he lets it live and, unfortunately, run, which regularly annoys the gifted servant of the feline communities (anyone who knows how many obstructed cavities there are in an old building and that mice are basically capable of finding them at a moment’s notice and using them as hiding places will have the fullest understanding for this).

Now, as befits such an exclusive cat household, there are only the finest treats for the noble beast. In addition to various dry and wet foods from the upper and the monthly wage devouring price segment, there is also raw meat with hand-picked supplements. And exactly here it becomes miraculous.

If there is raw food, the otherwise so peaceful non-mouse catchers Minnie, Daphne and even Gizmo mutate into raging monsters. Single bites are even knocked out of the servant’s hand during feeding. The situation is similar when it comes to eating. It is gobbled down with almost no dignity. An unbearable sight for the servant, who is otherwise accustomed to the finest manners.

Stitch, Louise and Kalle, on the other hand, who should be used to raw meat because of their years of experience in catching mice, breaking them up professionally, eating them and spreading the leftovers around the house, can’t do anything with raw food of it all. They even wrinkle their noses in disgust and turn away, leaving the servant, who is standing there with a perplexed face, to his fate.

Cats are mysterious creatures, the devoted servant thinks, while three ravenous felines run back and forth between the office and the kitchen. They are craving for raw meat and the servant had better comply with the request as soon as possible, or else…
